Three Months

Happy three months Ben!

Ben is doing great.  He is meeting his developmental milestones according to his adjusted age of one month.  He is starting to smile, pick his huge melon up occasionally, and thankfully is starting to have some longer stretches of night-time sleep.

My cheeks weigh me down.

He had a great run of “catch up growth”, and packed on 5 pounds in 5 weeks.  He’s at 12.5 pounds now – well on the weight charts without having to use his adjusted age.  His length, on the other hand, is woefully lacking and isn’t even on the charts (but he is 50th percentile if you adjust him to a 1 month old).  The doctor said that it takes longer for his length to catch up – perhaps 1 to 1.5 years.  (We’re still waiting for Luke to shoot up, so we’re not holding our breath for Ben…)

I’m excited for his first Halloween.  Luke wants to be Pooh Bear, so I’m going to turn Ben into a honey bee.  I would’ve loved for Ben to be Pigwideon, but I suppose a bee is more appropriate to Luke’s Pooh.  One of these years I’m gonna get them capes and lightsabers.

Many more fun months to come!

    so cute
I’m so glad he’s doing so well and I’m sure he will grow up to be at least as tall as his mommy 🙂
